About
I am a potter working and living in London. I grew up in Streatham Hill, but am currently living in South East, as an apprentice to Lisa Hammond MBE at Maze Hill Pottery in Greenwich. Alongside my fellow apprentice Lucas George-Jones, we are learning everything it means to be a working potter. We learn production throwing, producing the Maze Hill standard range (mugs, bowls, espressos and so on). But also what it means to run a successful studio, with evening classes, in which I now teach once a week.
Learning under Lisa’s tutelage for the past two years as apprentice has been such rigorous and wonderful training. Lisa is a pioneer of soda firing, learning how to fire in such a way, in a kiln we helped rebuild last year, has also taught me a lot.
I value well-made, functional and beautiful pots. At Maze Hill Lisa equally gives us space to find our own voices, whilst being practical in how I will translate that into earning a living. Clay has a rich history all over the world, rooted in the every day and the humble crasftsperson. Its a world I am very proud to be a part of.
I currently sell my work mainly through the Maze Hill Christmas Open Studio (On the 5th and 6th of December 2026). I am aiming to do an online sale of some recent work from a Soda firing in November. But if there is anything you would like sooner, please just drop me a message.
